Hello all
I have been a fellow archer for a while now, and am not pleased with systemd. The whole journal thing feels very convoluted, and ten years ago Linux was fine without it! It seems the writing is on the wall that systemd is going to advance more and more, especially with the news of it maintaining home directories (why do we need that?) Although system-homed is optional, I am scared it will become mandatory. Not only that, but many people talk about the security issues with systemd. I use my personal GNU/Linux computer (with Arch) for music composing/production/research at my job. I also use it for things like playing games with gog and steam proton.
Are there other people who use obarun for music making? How much music software requires systemd (or is compiled with it under the pro-audio package group)?
Either way, I am very interested in Arch without systemd, which is what obarun seems to be about. It also seems the community here is friendly.
Can't wait to experiment more!
