Nothing like a Chinese factory, it is actually very pleasant by comparison, but not everything pleasant is good for your spirit. I would place it similar as working for a nuclear bomb developer, the mafia, Bayer/monsanto, a riot cop, ... and such (too many good examples to list).
When you retire from those pleasant jobs either you have no dignity left or you never had it to know what it is.

You know chinese factory that produces smartphones/computers
Google that produces software for these devices.
Mass produced cheap products on global scale.
Android devices that require you to scan your fingerprint and face ID if you want to use your new bought smartphone
I read they android harvest 10x more data than Apple from their iPhones.

you can watch u-tube without them getting a single bit of value
use containers/firejails/ private windows, script blockers and ad blockers, smtube player or many others like it, just never log into google

use duckduckgo or startpage as a proxy to google search

there are ways you can use them without them using you

if you have consumer habits that are valuable to them you have more to worry about than google, particularly your bad consumer habits.

All these youtube and vimeo stuff consume too much internet data that for me isn't unlimited.
If you're not addicted to youtube, then try make it not visiting it for one day...
For example i tried many times not to get online for one day or two but... i can't survive a single day without going on web so far... I could just get offline and start reading books but i am to distracted... I am too addicted to web...

Fortunately i found better ways of listening to music, so youtube for me hasn't existed for 3 years...
