hum, i think it's a misconfiguration not a bug.

they need to install gvfs most likely... there are bunches of them in the repo. it's easier to see them if you install pamac-manager and yay which is a teenie bit of labor... easy peasy. i like the visual. there are a number of gvfs files and two are installed by default. I don't know which one specifically enable the proper mounting but i installed them all. 2 installed by defauly and 6 more in the repo. This is what worked for me anyway.

sudo pacman -S gvfs gvfs-afc gvfs-goa gvfs-google gvfs-photo2 gvfs-mtp gvfs-nfs gvfs-smb

should sort it out.
