I would recommend to all users to be weary of upgrading or doing a new installation as there seems to be a discrepancy between what we have had in our systems and current Obarun repos.

Jul 14th 1.20.12-2
Jul 23rd 1.20.12-3
Jul 26th 1.20.12-5
Aug 1st 1.20.13-2

The late July-26th iso has 1.20.12-3 in it
The Sep1 iso has 1.20.13-2 in it

The current Obarun repo has 1.20.12-2 which is 2 months back.

It can't be the case where the server went bust and the only backup was from 2 months ago because other recent packages are in there, it is just Xorg as far as I can tell that is OFF.

So what is going on, and since it is going on why isn't there an announcement, here, in the news page of the site, in the obnews, ... but how can people be using 09012021 image doing an installation and pacman wants to install a 2 month old package?

Is there some kind of bug, security problem, and should users revert to the old package, keep what they have, ... what?

No time to explain?

There is time to make a mysterious change in the repo but no time to explain?

Trust can take years to build, it only takes moments to be lost. Such anomalies need to be discussed and shared in the open or silence can raise more questions than can be answered.
i don't know what happened :/. What is really strange is that the rootless one have the good version.
Anyway, fixed. Thanks for the report.

Thanks for the report.

There is no bug or security problem, this has nothing to do with trust or anything else you claiming here. We use software to automate tasks, and software issues can be encountered at any time with any software which interface between the human and the machine, nothing more.

You raised a problem, thank you, but the dramatic tone you use on the other hand is not appreciated. You should relax your mind by listening relaxing music.
Again here we have your opinion without a spec of rational explanation or support for it. Just your word. Tell that to someone who takes "faith" seriously and will not ask questions.

Rational explanation (if it was needed): Having software installed in your system that you have no clue where it comes from and the distributions showing an earlier (much earlier) version poses a potential security problem.

Dramatic tone, relaxing, some nonsense generalization about unpredictable software, is irrelevant to the issue.

Do you have anything to contribute to the issue or is it just smoke?

It comes from Aliens who hacked our build system and want to infiltrate Obarun passing by Xorg-server because it can be used as a gateway to their dimension.
Your beliefs and your choices of sw (plasma crap) blend very well together.

All you had to do and say is "I did something and I F&&&-up the repository, don't worry about it, it will be fixed soon", rather than remain silent about it and pretend nothing happened.

But you are too busy contaminating linux with K-crap-spyware. You should try slackware, you will blend right in.

And by what magic you would have something to fix when you sure that there is nothing to fix until someone notices that there is something to fix.

That's what you discovered and that would have been enough, but you had to add a layer of your delusions with accusations still hoping after that having some answers and you continue in this practice in your last intervention with on top of that a layer of lies.

You have no idea what could have happened and not being able to get an answer you have to invent a parallel story trying to sell it to anyone who could believe it.
