Greetings Obarunners

Thanks for an interesting distro. Is there a trick to installing to LVM? I am struggling through my ignorance to make it happen, using the installer.
The installer's mounting menu option does not seem to list the logical volumes among the available devices, which makes me nervous.
If someone could just advise me that the installer is not set up install on lvm, it would save a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The tome below is a rough idea of what I am trying to do, and is only for those who like pain.

The live iso allows me to activate my root logical volume (incorporating boot) and manually mount it as /mnt. After install, my system seems to have many files & folders there. I do not install a boot loader, intending to use grub via another install on the same system. The other instance's update-grub does *appear* to find it. However, when I try to boot after installation, I get this (hand-typed from a photo):
:: Triggering uevents...
Waiting 10 seconds for device /dev/dm-5"
ERROR: device '/dev/dm-5' not found. skipping fsck...
I see a mention of lvm in this thread: https://forum.obarun.org/viewtopic.php?id=1593
but I am not attempting any encryption yet. I did try the "break=y in the GRUB command line and manually run $ lvm vgchange -ay"
but the response is
sh: lvm: not found
which is a bit discouraging.

I am currently trying the "Packages that will be installed (AUR including)" option to try and force installation of lvm2, but, every fresh install has to download hundreds of MB. If I were actually paying per nibble for Internet, I would be very sad about this. As it is, it's painfully tedious on my slow line. Perhaps an iso with a larger helping of software could be offered?
