This has occurred since March 28/29/30 OR April 4/5/6 on my XFCE system.
(I update my system on weekends, but I forgot exactly which weekend this issue started occurring)
Rolling back to a working late-March system via TimeShift, and updating each weekend, up to today May 16th, still causes this same issue each time.
- Prior, I have been able to launch and use LibreWolf/Tor/Firefox simultaneously without any issues.
- After updating and restarting, trying to launch a second Firefox variant, or the initially launched variant's own Profile Manager, will cause the initially launched and working one to freeze and be unresponsive, while the window of the newly launched one never shows up.
(If I update but continue using the system without restarting, this issue does not occur)
- The initially launched variant prompts me if I want to terminate it after spamming the close window button.
- I can no longer launch any Firefox variant until I terminate the newly launched Firefox instance whose does not appear, in Task Manager.
2 examples to make my explanation above clearer:
- I launch LibreWolf, and it works normally, including new (private) windows. Then, I launch Tor. LibreWolf immediately freezes and becomes unresponsive. Tor window never shows up. I close LibreWolf by spamming the close window button until XFCE prompts me "Do you want to terminate it?". Tor must also be manually terminated in Task Manager before I can launch LibreWolf/Tor/Firefox normally again.

Launching LibreWolf/Tor/Firefox in terminals does not provide any output.
Using Safe Mode or Troubleshoot Mode does not solve the issue either.
Online searches seem to indicate I am the only person having this issue.
How would I even begin trying to troubleshoot this?
