Eric,
I saw that you started to publish some of the files with the BEER-WARE license. This license is not a copyleft license. For a detailed list of free software licenses you can check ( https://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-list.html# GPLCompatibleLicenses ).
The issue with non-copyleft licenses is that someone who modifies the code and releases the compiled binaries if any is not required to publish the source code.
This in itself does not promote the free use of software.
I myself do not know the extent to which you decided to use the above said license though I thought to give a friendly tap in regards to this.
I myself used a similar line in my diploma project to the one who will came about the said line could claim a beer. To this date nobody did :)
Cheers,
Vlad
