Hello everybody,

I usually don't like this kind of section in forums but I really like to appreciate the work of Eric and everybody else trying to get rid of systemd. So here I am writing about myself.
I'm a 33 year old graphic designer from Berlin, Germany with decent programming knowledge mainly in web front end living in the woods and not doing any of this for professional means any more. I resigned and manage a little farm in Mexico with my wife for just the both of us.
I do some occasional graphic/programming work for Linux and settled with Arch on ZFS a few years ago after very exaggerated distro hopping. I recently managed to install Artix on a 12 year old MacbookPro and after reading up on init systems decided to try Obarun for my main rig for a while to see how it goes.
Root is back to ext4 but I still use my externals on ZFS.

I hope this project will get a lot more attention as systemd free distros get more common. Thank you Eric.
welcome aboard.
I am not doing anything related to computer systems professionally but I've been trying to keep up with development of non-systemd distros. I keep about 7-10 installations alive and compare things, then write about them. For my own use though it is 98% Obarun and this is for a long time now. Nothing wrong with artix, I just think obarun is more hard-core and has a clear vision. Nothing wrong with void either, but obarun is home and the rest are objects to study.
Now, I want to ask a million questions about the place you live and the reasons for "escaping", but this is not the place to do so I guess. I am just glad you have actually "escaped", if that can be possible.
hi and welcome.
I understand your choice, i did the same from a while now. Better to live in some wild on the earth instead of keeping the town....
