Tested with virtualbox I recommend configuring the video card section in the following way: 128MB - VboxSVGA - 3D acceleration.
Xorg server could not start without these values.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Login as obarun user and run startx

root login: root
obarun login: obarun

You can get my GPG public key by following this link https://repo.obarun.org/jean-michel

Any problems can be reported here,
Enjoy :)
I took this image for a ride.
dhcpcd wasn't running so :
# 66-enable dhcpcd

Logging on root and using startx/xinit doesn't do much as .xinitrc has nothing to execute
As obarun xinit/startx is not allowed to run X, /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config is missing, needs_root_rights = yes

If you copy .xinitrc from user to root and add the Xwrap both root and user work.

I have no interest in plasma so I can't say much about it. ....

I'm currently running 3 variations of 66 based systems, so nothing new. One of them I use on one pc as a minimal file server. Hasn't failed once since it was originally set up. It uses around 70Mb of ram idling on a very energy efficient core2duo at 27'C

Die systemd DIE!

Thx fungalnet for your report
dhcpcd wasn't running
Yes, that right. I need to study 66 more deeply to be able to enable dhcpcd and other services directly in the iso.

I never run startx with root user and I do not understand why you run startx like that.
As obarun xinit/startx is not allowed to run X, /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config is missing, needs_root_rights = yes
I have to study this point. Did you configure virtualbox screen option as I recommended ?
I think the first time enabling dhcpcd also needs # 66-start dhcpcd
I am not saying I do run X as root, I am saying whether you are able to. When as user it didn't start I tried as root, but root didn't have a kde .xinitrc configuration to start it. Starting X with an xterm was possible.
That Xwrapper thing came at the time they split xorg into two versions, rootless and other. The other needed this Xwrapper conf. to run as user. The jwm .iso has a .zlogin in it where it takes you to jwm as soon as you log in right? Xwrapper exists in the jwm, right? I am just clearing that those are not my hacks, I am just comparing the two approaches and offered other beta testers of your iso some assistance if they run into a tty and nowhere to go :)
