i recently read that palemoon has gone to even more trouble to force javascript onto its victims (victim is probably the best word for someone running palemoon.)
i dont doubt or dispute that palemoon has gotten worse-- im creating this post for two reasons. the secondary reason is to be able to talk about the details of how its gotten worse. the primary reason is to point out that there seems to be a permanently (this time?) open thread on the palemoon forum for people to complain about it. this fiasco made it very clear to me that i would be better off with some other mozilla fork, im using icecat these days and very interested in iceape-uxp https://www.hyperbola.info/packages/community/i686/iceape-uxp/ though its good to know whether palemoon has a thread open about it or not. it wouldnt surprise me if that status changes from time to time.
