I also managed to open indicator-sound-switcher but it does not help to switch back to speakers

How do you put the <code> in the box?

You can highlight it and use insert code </> button somewhere on the same bar as you see post reply etc. or use ``` on start and same on end of code.

How come your HDMI/DP Audio Controller is not shown? Do you have the right drivers installed? For me it is my nvidia card and I think I need to have either nouveau or proprietary installed. I have them thru dkms. what does your lspci | grep VGAshow?

igrk@obarunS6 ~ % lspci | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02)

the HDMI is unplugged.

it remains the same.
But my problem now is that i get no sound on the laptop with or without plugged tv!

Alright so you can delete that file because thats a regression. What does $aplay -loutput show

Stopping pipewire, wireplumber, pipewire-pulse and rebooting i got the audio on the laptop back.
      Restarting was not enough.
