I have installed the latest JWM iso to a new HP PC, the live iso booted without issues but after the install and the following reboot I have an error message about Dbus failing to start and exiting with code 99 . As a consequence, the global tree fails to be initialized too. What could I try to do?
[SOLVED] Dbus service fails to start after a fresh install
does it work if you use the old version of dbus? dbus-1.14.10-2? you might need to find it from your own cache because I cant access obarchive currenly.
hum, try to connect to the package page and select obarchive
to the dropmenu near the Search
field.
Apparently i have a bug (i suspect AJAX one) on the site if you try to access directly at the https://web.obarun.org/package/obarchive
page.
Please @wastelander, try @Wat-now suggestion and tell us.

Sorry, I have to reopen this issue, the latest dbus 1.16.0-4 broke connman again, ( I have to run it with sudo to get it working)`. And this time downgrading (to .0-3) didn't work.
Hum I installed network manager and the related applet for the taskbar, it works. I start to think that the problem is not dbus but connman-gtk itself.
maybe there needs to be a dbus group created as well...through I have connman-gtk built from git so maybe the package is the problem
Wat-now yes it's possible, maybe network manager handles dbus differently or something. How could I create a dbus group for connman? I'd prefer it over NM because it's far less bloated, I had to install a lot of dependencies for the NM tray applet.
